Forget It All
© 2003 by Jennifer Farwell

If I pretend you don't exist, why can't you do the same?
Forget my voice, forget my laugh, and then forget my name.

There's one thing that I won't do,
and that's cling to the past.
That's where you are, where you'll stay;
that's the dye you cast.

You know nothing about me,
my life, or who I am.
You never did, so why start now,
when I don't give a damn.

If I pretend you don't exist, why can't you do the same?
Forget my voice, forget my laugh, and then forget my name.

So please do me a favour,
and stop trying to call.
You can block your number,
but I can block it all.

What's with all the niceties,
they won't put you on par.
You lied then, you're lying now,
and lies are what you are.

If I pretend you don't exist, why can't you do the same?
Forget my voice, forget my laugh, and then forget my name.

I believe you don't exist, so start doing the same.
Forget my voice, forget my laugh, and then forget my name.
