So, I've realized I can't just keep this here and leave it at October 2004 for all eternity -- I don't like websites that do that, so why should anyone else? That said, I think I'll be turning this into a news page. Infrequent updates of what's going on, geared more towards academic things or my writing, but not a weblog or journal at all. I think this is probably a good time to adopt this format. With the M.A. work that I'm doing, it seems entirely viable that I may get into the realm of article writing or perhaps reviewing or criticism, and I'm still working on my own creative writing outside of that.
What is currently happening in my world:
School -- this is the main thing until the end of August or mid-September. Right now it's coursework, but it appears as though my Masters Research Paper topic in its current early stages has been approved and supported. So, hooray! Grad school so far has been nothing short of awesome, and both it and my full-time work week have happily continued to be fine.
I'll be heading to California this winter. :)
I'm working on a new poem that I will put up when it's done. I'm still thinking about posting some poems and songs written in the last two years on the fiction page... there are some from 2003/2004 up, but these ones I just kept in notebooks. Maybe, maybe not, this idea is still being tossed back and forth. I like them, muchly, they just may cause a few issues to arise, because sometimes people have a bit of trouble separating art from reality and realizing that even if they can identify things in the poems or songs, nobody else can. We'll see.
